Master Your Mind Beginner Course

Meditation is a life skill that you can learn relatively quickly and start doing. By starting doing, you can develop a daily meditation practice that does not really take up too much time, you can start with 3 minutes a day and built it up at your pace and if you want to. One benefit that people who practice meditation on a regular daily basis is that they develop their concentration skills, which adds value to other areas of their lives. If you do this course, and practice what it teaches every day for about 5 – 6 weeks, you will have began your meditation journey. And will most likely be extremely proud of yourself. 🙂

Want To Reduce Stress? Start Meditation At Home Easily

If you want to reduce your stress in this world of ours, and you want to start doing meditation at home, one solution is to sign up for the Master Your Mind Beginners Course that shows you how to practice meditation. This is a great solution if you want to manage your stress levels and have a bit of “me time” ideally every day.

Meditation is a practice with profound physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits. The key to these benefits and the transformation it can bring, is developing a daily meditation practice. Developing a daily meditation practice is not too difficult. With the help of this course, I personally have been practicing meditation daily for over a year now and I don’t plan on stopping the habit. 🙂

I have learned and practiced a few different meditation techniques. This course covers a few different meditation techniques and more importantly you actually try them out for yourself. So by the end of this course, you will have tried out a few different meditation techniques, and will be in a better position to run with the techniques you prefer and are more comfortable with.

Why build a daily meditation practice?

Good question. Because in a nutshell, you know meditation is good for you. Loads of studies indicate over 70 benefits of meditation. So consistency is essential in building a daily meditation practice. Some people find it challenging to build a daily habit. I know I do. 🙂

Maybe it is a lack of time, or a lack of discipline or a lack of motivation. The creater of this course has studied habit-building science, and developed all sorts of habits throughout his life. So here are some tips that he would like me to share with you, as they relate to creating a strong meditation practice.

Start small

It is better to start really small, so there is absolutely no excuse for you to skip your practice. For people just starting off, he usually recommends starting with 5 minutes a day and increase that by 1 minute per week, until you are practicing somewhere between 20 minutes and 60 minutes per day. The amount of time you put into your daily meditation practice is up to you.

At the end of every session, commit to show up for your practice the following day.

Never zero

This means that every day you will practice, even if only 5 minutes. Make it a non-negotiable part of your life. I have found that weekend days I usually practice later in the day then for a weekday. However, that is me. Because of the newer zero guideline, I now practice every day, there are no exceptions.

No expectations

Nothing kills motivation quicker than unmet expectations. Although you should start to benefit from meditation after doing it every day for a few weeks, know that most of the benefits from meditation come only after months or years of daily practice. So letting go of expectations sounds like a smart strategy. I enjoy my meditation time in any case.

Be prepared

Sometimes you will feel tired, busy, or “not in the mood”. Be mentally prepared to meet those challenges with the “never zero” idea, and do the practice no matter what.

Joyful attitude

Meditation is not a task, but a precious moment to go deep inside yourself. Enjoy the practice, and it will be easy to keep it up. Hopefully these tips can be helpful in your journey.

  1. Meditation is awesome. I use an app which is a guided meditation. It is so relieving to have momentary flashes of pure presence but it is so fleeting…unlike some thoughts that we choose to keep. It can be hard to maintain but like anything else takes dedication. I found your insight very expansive.

    • Hi Arian,

I agree with you that meditation is awesome. I use a mixture of guided meditation and unguided meditation. I find that they both have something great to offer. I use the Insight Timer app as it keeps records of each time I meditate. At this stage I have used the Insight Timer app for over 405 days in a row. I have set up a few different profiles of the meditation I want to do – for 3 minutes with a bell going off every minute is one of them. I find using the Insight Timer, it helps me to maintain this habit, as at this stage I don’t want to break my current run streak of over 405 days in a row.

Some time back one of my brothers recommended I meditate, so I did an online course to get “up to speed”. Thanks to it and my determination, I now practice meditation every day. I learned a number of different meditation techniques in that course that I enjoy. Click here to read my review of that course.

      Happy Meditating,

  2. It is so amazing to see the affects that stress can and do have on so many persons. I believe that the time has come to take a hold of stress and to do all that we can to win the war on stress.
Stress can cause the body to break down but it is good to know that we can fight back and win the war on stress.

    • Hi Norman,

Yes, it is great to know that we can win the war on stress. However we need to be prepared and taking preventive actions to help reduce its affect on individuals ideally before it affects them too much. One great life skill is to practice meditation. Learning how to meditate is key. I did an online course to get “up to speed” on doing meditation. Thanks to it and my determination, I now practice meditation every day.
